How do I access the API and MCP integration?
Query Launch Trophies over REST or connect Claude and other assistants via MCP.
Updated
Awarded through code
Two integration paths connect your systems to Launch Trophies. The REST API at /api/v1 speaks JSON over HTTPS. For AI assistants—Claude, ChatGPT and compatible MCP clients—we host a remote MCP server at /mcp. Both give read access to launches and listings; both support authenticated operations on your own catalogue.
Technical credentials
Sign in via OAuth (your assistant opens our sign-in page) or with a machine token. Retrieve your token from /account/developers. Keys display only once; we retain only a hash. Treat a token as secret.
The boundaries
Rate limits and daily quotas are in effect. Voting is not available through either interface. When an operation requires payment, we return a checkout link; all transactions settle on this site, never elsewhere.
Full technical specification, including the OpenAPI 3.1 schema, lives at /developers. Reference /api/v1/openapi.json for integration tools that consume schemas.
Questions people ask
- Can my AI assistant read our listings directly?
- Yes. After you authorise the MCP connection through OAuth, Claude and other MCP clients can search launches and inspect your entries without further steps.
- Where do I find my API credentials?
- Log into your account and visit /account/developers. Your token appears once only. Keep it secure.
- What happens when my quota runs out?
- Further requests return rate-limit headers. Quotas reset daily. Paid upgrades are managed at /developers.
